Toyota Prius G Unveiled in Japan

If you like the fuel economy of the Prius, but wish that it packed a little more edge, you may want to take a look at the Toyota Prius G. The new model from Toyota is actually based on the current S trim of the current original Toyota Prius, but it manages to shed its old image in favor of something a little more youth-oriented. The only problem with the Prius G that we here at Charles Barker Toyota can find is that for now it's exclusive to Japan... Still that doesn't mean that you can't learn a little more about the model, as it could show up on our lot some day in the future.
The Toyota Prius G features a new body kit that has been developed by the Japanese automaker. It includes a aggressive styling, 18-inch wheels, and a brilliant racing stripe on either door, that adds a subtle-yet-impactful accent to the vehicle. Meanwhile, the vehicle's suspension has been overhauled by Gazoo Racing, in order to provide a better handling experience on the road. As for its performance... That remains untouched. After all, this is a Prius we're talking about, and Toyota didn't want to sacrifice efficiency in the name of a marginal power increase.
This move comes amidst a rather bold move by the Japanese automaker to expand the Prius from a single model into a wide range of vehicles too. Toyota has already released a larger variant, the Toyota Prius v, and they have a Toyota Prius Plug-In Hybrid scheduled for 2012 too. They've even recently unveiled a compact version, the Toyota Prius C, so who isn't to say that the Prius G might be announced for the U.S. market soon as well?
For now, we invite you to stay tuned for more details. That is, unless, you're interested in any of the other new Toyota models that we carry here at 1877 Laskin Road Virginia Beach, VA 23454.
