Toyota Opts to Include 2012 4Runner in Entune Lineup

In an effort to keep things current, Toyota is launching a new infotainment service called Entune, and we here at Charles Barker Toyota couldn't be more excited! This new service promises to deliver a safe, fun driving experience to those who are behind the wheel of a model that has it equipped. Originally, the vehicles set to include Entune at launch included the forthcoming 2012 Prius v, as well as in the all-new 2012 Toyota Camry and 2012 Toyota Tacoma. Now, however, Toyota has decided to also include the upcoming 2012 Toyota 4Runner in the list of Entune equipped models.
The decision to include the 4Runner in the Toyota Entune launch makes perfect sense too when you think about it. The 4Runner has undergone an evolution across five generations in its 27 years of production, so for Toyota to take another step to keep in fresh actually makes perfect sense. Add in the fact that it was named the "Most Dependable Midsize Crossover/SUV" by J.D. Power and Associates in 2011, and it's the clear choice for an Entune launch.
Toyota Entune At a Glance
- Simple smartphone connectivity- Easy access to apps, including Bing, iHeartRadio, MovieTickets.com, OpenTable, and Pandora
- Data-streaming services include fuel prices, sports scores, stock info, traffic guides, and weather conditions
Other returning features of the current 2011 Toyota 4Runner include SiriusXM Satellite Radio; HD Radio, feautring iTunes tagging and text/e-mail-to-speech; its USB port for easy iPod connectivity; and Bluetooth wireless technology.
