Toyota Takes the Tacoma Off Road Like Never Before

The wait is finally over; the all new 2012 Toyota Tacoma is finally here at Charles Barker Toyota and it's ready to be taken for a test drive today! The Tacoma is the Japanese automaker's best-selling pickup truck in America today, and that's only one of the reasons why we love it. Another reason to love the Tacoma? The new special edition that was recently shown off State Fair of Texas in Dallas.
Known as the Toyota Tacoma T/X Baja Edition, this variant of the compact pickup has been primarily designed to go off the road on some real adventures. However, as Toyota division boss Bob Carter said, "It's the type of truck that will shine in a Texas ranch environment, or on a Midwest hunting trip, off the highway in a California desert, or anywhere, east or west, where the roads are rugged."1
To make the Toyota Tacoma T/X Baja Edition shine off road, it has been imbued with a TRD Off-Road package. Perhaps shine isn't quite the right word though, as it won't be so shiny after traversing the mud, dirt, water, and whatever else Mother Nature has to throw at it. We say this because the TRD Off-Road package includes an electronically controlled locking rear differential, Active Traction Control, Hill Start and Downhill Assist Controls.
Outside, the Toyota Tacoma T/X Baja Edition features a rugged look that only the Tacoma could pull off. It features BF Goodrich T/A KO tires wrapped around off-road wheels in a gunmetal gray and Baja Series graphics that compliment its red paintjob and black Baja graphics quite well.
Subject to a limited two-month production run in early 2012, we can easily imagine that this will be one special edition Tacoma that will be hard to get your hands on if you wait for the last minute. Of course, if you're really more interested in the other Toyota models that we carry here at 1877 Laskin Road Virginia Beach, VA 23454, then be sure to have a look at our new Toyota inventory and showroom pages online.
Once there, you'll be able to learn more about specific models, such as the Toyota RAV4, Toyota Avalon, and Toyota FJ Cruiser, as well as our incredible lineup of used Toyota models. But, whether you're considering purchasing a new or used car, we can't stress enough the fact that it's always a wise choice to simply take the vehicle you're considering for a test drive. And, you can arrange a test drive by either dialing (888) 690-4160 or by submitting our convenient contact form online.
